Rizza Anderson (she/her/hers)

As Empower Family Therapy’s intake coordinator, I'm often the very first person you'll talk to when you reach out to us. I want the process to feel simple, not stressful. I take the time to listen to what you're looking for, answer your questions clearly, and keep things moving so you're not left wondering what happens next.

What It's Like to Work With Me

When you reach out to Empower, I want the process to feel simple, not stressful. I take the time to listen to what you're looking for, answer your questions clearly, and keep things moving so you're not left wondering what happens next. I stay organized behind the scenes — tracking details, following up, and coordinating with our therapists — so that on your end, everything just feels handled. Whether it's your first time seeking therapy or you're looking for a new practitioner, I'm here to make that transition as smooth as possible.

My Approach & Values

I bring several years of experience in healthcare, customer service, and client support to this role, including screening and intake coordination, insurance verification, care coordination, and patient communication. What draws me to this work is the opportunity to make someone's experience a little easier, especially when they may already be going through a difficult or stressful time. I care about combining compassion with organization and attention to detail — because I believe the way someone is welcomed into care matters just as much as the care itself.

A Little More About Me

Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family and carve out quiet time to recharge. I try to keep a good balance between being productive and making room for the people and things that matter to me. In my free time, you'll usually find me exploring new cafés and restaurants, traveling when I can, or working on content creation and photography .

You'll Appreciate Working With Me If:

  • You want someone who listens closely and helps the process feel less overwhelming

  • You appreciate clear, timely communication about insurance, scheduling, and next steps

  • You value working with someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and follows through

  • You're looking for a warm, patient point of contact during a time that can already feel stressful

Rizza is an experienced intake coordinator with a background in healthcare, customer service, and care coordination who helps clients navigate scheduling, insurance, and therapist matching with compassion, clarity, and care.
