Intro video goes here

At Empower Family Therapy, we work with a lot of couples where ADHD is part of the picture.

They usually come in feeling stuck. Some have lost hope. They tell us they want to talk better and feel close again.

Once we start digging, ADHD is often behind a lot of what's going wrong. We built this assessment so you can see that for yourselves.

What it covers

You rate how often each thing happens, from 0 to 4.

Follow-through

The gap between knowing what needs to happen and it actually happening, and how that plays out with shared responsibilities.

Holding it together

How tiring it is to manage all day, and what is left for home.

Who does the reminding

When one of you keeps track and the other feels watched.

Intimacy

How ADHD can show up in starting, shifting into, and staying present for closeness.

Criticism and rejection

How hard a missed moment or a sharp comment can land.

How to use it

1

Fill it out alone

Each of you completes it on your own. Answer for yourself.

2

Compare

Look at the items you answered the same way. Then look at the ones where your answers were far apart. Those are worth talking about.

3

Get curious

This isn't about whose view is right. It's about what each of you is living with that the other might not see.

If an item feels too exposing to score, skip it. Come back to it when you feel safe.

Why the cycle matters

Here's how it usually goes.

Step 1

Something ADHD-related happens.

Step 2

One of you decides what it means.

Step 3

The other reacts to that.

Step 4

The first person reacts to the reaction.

After a while, you're not even fighting about the original thing anymore. You're fighting the pattern.

Seeing the cycle lets you work on it together, instead of working against each other.

Ready to start?

Each of you takes it on your own. Then you sit down and compare.

Take the assessment

Once you've both finished, schedule a session with our team and we'll go through your answers together.
