ADHD, Anxiety, and Relationship Therapy in Chicago and Illinois

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, constantly in your head, or like you’re managing a lot on the outside but barely holding things together internally, you’re not alone. You might be someone others see as capable, driven, and high-functioning but behind the scenes, your focus slips, your mind doesn’t slow down, and simple things feel harder than they “should.”

In relationships, you may find yourselves stuck in the same arguments that escalate quickly, or dealing with a growing sense of distance, resentment, or disconnection that you don’t know how to repair. When ADHD is part of the picture, it can start to feel like you’re speaking completely different languages.

A Collaborative and Supportive Therapy Space

In our work together, my goal is to create a space where you don’t have to perform, overcompensate, or “try harder” to be understood. Clients often tell me they feel a sense of relief in sessions that they can finally slow down, organize what’s happening in their mind, and express themselves in ways that actually land. I’m warm, straightforward, and collaborative, and I’ll meet you where you are without judgment.

An ADHD-Informed and Neurodivergent-Affirming Approach

My approach focuses on understanding how your mind and nervous system actually work. I have over a decade of experience working with neurodivergent clients and I tailor our work to fit how your mind actually works. Instead of forcing strategies that don’t fit, we look at what’s getting in the way whether that’s overwhelm, burnout, emotional intensity, or patterns that developed earlier in life. Together, we build tools that are realistic, sustainable, and tailored to you.

Support for Couples and Multicultural Relationships

For couples, we slow down the cycle, reduce reactivity, and help both partners understand what’s happening underneath the conflict so communication becomes clearer and connection feels more accessible again.

As a first-generation immigrant, I feel deeply connected to working with couples navigating cultural differences. I understand how complex it can be to balance different expectations, identities, and ways of relating especially in multicultural or cross-cultural relationships. I am a bilingual therapist offering services in Spanish and English.

When I'm not with clients, you can find me learning something new, going on long walks with my dog, enjoying live jazz music, exploring local art scenes, and relaxing by the sea.

You might be a good fit if you:

  • Feel overwhelmed, anxious, or mentally exhausted

  • Are navigating ADHD, autism, or a recent diagnosis

  • Struggle with focus, follow-through, or burnout

  • Feel misunderstood or stuck in repeating conflict in your relationship

  • Are caught in high-conflict communication cycles that escalate quickly

  • Are experiencing disconnection, intimacy challenges, or resentment in your relationship

  • Are part of a multicultural or cross-cultural relationship

What is it like to work with you?

Working with me feels collaborative, honest, and grounded. I’m warm and non-judgmental, but also straightforward. Sessions are a place where you can slow down, make sense of what’s happening internally, and start finding ways to express yourself more clearly and effectively in your life and relationships.

Who do you help best?

I work best with adults and couples who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck—especially those navigating ADHD, anxiety, burnout, or relationship challenges. I’m also a strong fit for multicultural clients and couples working through differences in communication, identity, and expectations.

What should I expect in the first session?

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about what’s bringing you in, what’s been feeling difficult, and what you’re hoping for. There’s no pressure to share everything right away—we go at your pace and focus on helping you feel comfortable and understood.

Do you work with ADHD and autism?

Yes. I specialize in working with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism. This includes adults who were recently diagnosed, as well as couples navigating how neurodivergence impacts communication, connection, and daily life.

Do you work with couples?

Yes. I work with couples who feel stuck in repeating arguments, high-conflict communication cycles, or growing disconnection and resentment. This includes challenges around intimacy, mismatched needs, and feeling misunderstood. I help couples slow things down, understand each other more clearly, and rebuild connection in a way that feels sustainable.

How do you approach challenges like motivation or follow-through?

I don’t see these as laziness or lack of effort. We look at what’s actually getting in the way—whether that’s overwhelm, burnout, or how your brain processes tasks—and build strategies that work with you, not against you.
