About AManda a.

You’re overwhelmed and exhausted, and it feels like you’re constantly running on empty. No matter how hard you try, it seems like your kids are still struggling, and you can’t seem to find the balance between being a loving parent and taking care of yourself. It’s frustrating, isn’t it?

It’s exhausting to constantly juggle the never-ending demands of parenting, all while feeling like you’re not able to provide the emotional support your kids need. Whether it’s navigating difficult emotions with a teen who shuts down or trying to calm a child who can’t seem to manage their feelings, the pressure of it all can make you feel like you're drowning. You’re doing everything you can, yet it never feels like enough. You might even find yourself wondering if things will ever get easier, or if there’s a way to truly support your child while also caring for your own well-being.

But imagine a space where you can breathe again. Picture a place where you feel supported, where you can process your own feelings without guilt or shame, and where you can finally find the tools to help your kids process theirs. I seek to be a teammate for parents, and an advocate for their children, with the ultimate goal for strengthening their relationship with each other.

What sets me apart as a therapist is my warm, empathetic approach to supporting both parents and kids. I specialize in helping parents feel empowered and better equipped to handle their child’s struggles while prioritizing their own mental health. For kids and teens, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where they can express their emotions, build coping strategies, and gain emotional resilience. My approach is trauma informed and blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and family systems therapy to ensure that the whole family can heal and grow together. Outside of my work, I love being active, spending time with loved ones, and exploring Chicago - always bringing creativity and connection into everything I do.

“What sets me apart as a therapist is the emphasis I place on Connection. Being able to form trusting and safe relationships with children, teens, and parents is something I feel very privileged to do.”
