About AManda a.

You’re overwhelmed and exhausted, and it feels like you’re constantly running on empty. You’re doing  your best to hold everything together but the weight of daily life, whether it’s parenting, caregiving, work,  or simply managing your own emotions, just feels like too much. You may find yourself wondering if life  is always going to feel this way.

For parents, the struggle can feel especially intense; trying to be present for your child while staying  afloat yourself. Whether you’re navigating a teen’s silence or a younger child’s emotional outbursts, the  pressure to “get it right” while still finding time to care for your own mental health can feel impossible.  For adults without children, the emotional toll of chronic stress, past trauma, or life transitions can be just  as consuming. It’s hard to give to others, or even to yourself, when your own cup is empty.

But imagine a space that’s just for you. A space where you feel heard, supported, and free to show up as  you are, without guilt or judgment. I work alongside adults and families to create exactly that; a safe  environment where healing, clarity, and growth can take place. Whether you’re seeking tools to better  support your child, manage stress, or reconnect with yourself, therapy can be the first step of creating  lasting change.

What sets me apart as a therapist is my warm and collaborative approach. I specialize in supporting  adults, parents, children, and teens, helping each person gain emotional resilience and feel more  empowered and connected. My work is grounded in trauma informed care and blends Cognitive  Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with family systems therapy to support both individual healing and stronger  relationships. For adults and children facing trauma, I also offer EMDR therapy to support the healing of  the mind and the body. Outside of my work, I love being active, spending time with loved ones, and  exploring Chicago - always bringing creativity and connection into everything I do.

“What sets me apart as a therapist is the emphasis I place on Connection. Being able to form trusting and safe relationships with children, teens, and parents is something I feel very privileged to do.”
